Neurology experts suggest that Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) may be related to an imbalance in neurotransmitters within the brain, including dopamine and norepinephrine dysfunction, as well as an increase in serotonin levels. The academic community has yet to provide a clear explanation for the etiology of ADHD, but hypotheses involving dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin (5-HT) have been proposed to explain its pathophysiology.
