Treatment of a 9-Year-Old Child with Hidden Spinal Cord Defect

A 9-year-old boy suffers from a hidden spinal cord defect, often dribbling urine and unable to control it himself. Early comprehensive treatment, including non-pharmacological, pharmacological, and surgical treatments, should be initiated to alleviate pain, stiffness, and inflammation, maintain good posture, prevent deformation of the spine or joints, and correct malformed joints when necessary, in order to improve the patient’s quality of life.
