How to Treat Fever in Young Children with Tonsillitis

Antibiotic medications are commonly used to treat tonsillitis, along with regional treatments such as tonsil crypt irrigation or injection therapy. If a child’s throat pain is severe, painkillers may be recommended. If the child continues to have a persistent fever, oral fever-reducing medication can be administered. If there are repeated severe acute infections or complications, it is suggested to undergo tonsillectomy after the acute inflammation subsides for two weeks. Pay attention to a light diet, and consume mainly liquid foods during treatment.
