My child is two months old and has been consistently discharging tears from their eyes, along with yellowish eye mucus. One eye is affected, and it’s so severe that the child can’t open their eyes. The eyes are also slightly swollen. I feel that it’s better when the room is cooler, as heat seems to worsen the condition. The hospital said it’s an inflammation and prescribed eye drops, but they don’t seem to be effective. What is my child suffering from, and how should it be treated?
