10-Year-Old Child Often Suffers from Runny Nose and Excessive Discharge
A 10-year-old child has experienced an increase in nasal discharge and frequent nosebleeds over the past two months. Although diagnosed with sinusitis and treated with antibiotics, traditional Chinese medicine, and gentamicin eye ointment before bedtime, there has been no significant improvement. Recently, the doctor reported improvement in sinusitis but diagnosed the child with nasopharyngitis and no medication was prescribed. The gentamicin eye ointment continues to be used, but daily nasal discharge fills half of the nasal cavity, requiring clearing to breathe through the mouth at night. In the past week, there have been three episodes of nosebleeds.
