Diagnosis and Treatment of Fever Convulsions in Children

In recent years, an 18-month-old child experienced convulsions during a high fever, with normal EEG findings. However, during a school-related fever convulsion event, the child reached a fever of 39.7 degrees Celsius, with an unknown duration, and exhibited urinary incontinence. Currently, the child’s condition is basically stable, and the medical team believes that this may be a febrile seizure, which usually does not leave any sequelae. However, complex febrile seizures carry the risk of developing into epilepsy.
