What Are the Sequelae of Hypoplasia of the Dorsal Lateral Ventricles in Infants?

Normally, cystic dilation of the lateral ventricles in the fetal brain resolves by 26 weeks of gestation. If the condition persists beyond 26 weeks and involves both sides of the brain, a postnatal cranial ultrasound and chorionic villus chromosomal analysis are recommended. If the cysts resolve on their own, they are unlikely to cause any brain compression or elevation in intracranial pressure, and should not affect the child’s intellectual development or other aspects postnatally. It is suggested to undergo regular ultrasound examinations and maintain a calm attitude.

What Are the Symptoms and Locations of Growing Pains?

Growing pains are a common physiological pain experienced by children aged 2 to 13, primarily manifested as pain around the knee joint or the front side of the lower leg, but with no regional redness, swelling, or tenderness, and normal activity.
