How to Handle Nosebleeds in an Emergency

When a child has a nosebleed, immediate emergency measures can be taken to stop the bleeding. These include having the child lower their head, using the thumb and index finger to continuously press on both sides of the nostrils for at least 5 to 10 minutes. Meanwhile, stay calm and comfort the child to avoid panic and crying. Placing two cold towels on the forehead can help constrict the blood vessels.
