Abnormal liver function in neonatal jaundice is a manifestation of infant hepatic syndrome, referring to a group of clinical symptoms that include the onset of jaundice, pathological liver symptoms, and elevated serum alanine aminotransferase levels. If it’s pathological jaundice, hospital treatment is required.
