Treatment Methods for a Child’s Cough and Fever

A 6-year-old child started coughing in the afternoon of the 1st day, was given a lung-clearing medicine at night, and had a fever of 38.5 degrees at 3 AM. A fever patch was used, and the temperature rose to 39.5 degrees at 6 AM. Anti-fever medicine was taken at 7:20 AM. The child visited a community hospital during the day, where the doctor recommended nebulizer treatment twice a day, and an anti-fever medicine was taken at 3 PM. In the evening, another dose was given. The child had a fever again, reaching 38.4 degrees at 8 PM, but is now sleeping with a temperature of 39.5 degrees. Are there other methods to reduce fever if it recurs? The child has no other symptoms besides coughing.
