How to Handle Nausea in Infants

When infants exhibit symptoms of nausea, spitting up, burping, and choking, parents can take certain measures to alleviate them. Firstly, hold the baby upright and gently pat their back to help expel gas from the stomach. Additionally, lightly scratch the baby’s mouth or ears with the tip of your finger, or stimulate the soles of their feet to make them cry, which can help relieve sudden contractions of the diaphragm. When breastfeeding, pay attention to the temperature and keep the baby’s abdomen warm, and avoid feeding during crying to reduce the likelihood of swallowing large amounts of air.
