Cryptotia, also known as baggy ear, is a relatively rare congenital earlobe deformity. Its characteristics include the skin on the front of the ear being connected to the side of the head, with the ear cartilage structure basically normal but buried within the skin and unable to protrude normally, leading to the disappearance of the temporal groove. When pulled or pressed, the normal shape of the ear can be seen, but it will return to its original position after release. In some cases, it may also be accompanied by angular deformities of the antihelix and ossicular fractures.
