Treating High Fever in Children with Tonsillitis

If a child has tonsillitis, symptomatic anti-inflammatory medication can be administered, along with regional treatments such as tonsil crypt irrigation, tonsil intralesional injection, and laser therapy. Painkillers can be given if necessary, and physical cooling can be applied for low-grade fever. If the symptoms persist, consider surgery. These are common treatment methods, but if the child’s tonsillitis recurs frequently, it is recommended to consider surgery early on. After the condition improves, it is advisable to have the child engage in moderate exercise to boost immunity and prevent recurrence.
