Ichthyosis is a common genetic skin keratosis disease, formerly known as ichthyosis, and known as snake skin disease in traditional Chinese medicine. It primarily presents with dry, rough skin on the extensor sides of the limbs or trunk, accompanied by rhombic or polygonal scales, appearing like fish scales or snake skin. The aim of treatment is to alleviate symptoms, increase the water content of the stratum corneum, and promote normal keratinization.
