What Are the Symptoms of Tic Disorders?

Tic disorders, which can appear in children and adolescents, are characterized by vocal tics or involuntary, repetitive, rapid, and motor tics of one or more muscles. In addition to these symptoms, some children may also experience inattention, hyperactivity, or obsessive behaviors. Lasting for at least two weeks is considered a transient tic disorder, while lasting for over a year is classified as a chronic tic disorder.
