The Relationship Between Cerebral Palsy and Fetal Macrosomia

Manifested as delayed motor development, such as the inability to lift the head, roll over, sit, or develop proper limb movements. The causes of cerebral palsy are numerous, including genetic and chromosomal disorders, congenital infections, malformations or developmental abnormalities of the brain, and fetal brain ischemia-hypoxia leading to white matter softening around the ventricles or damage to the basal ganglia. Parents should be highly vigilant and not allow children to lie face down alone without supervision.
