When Do Newborns’ Umbilical Cords Fall Off?

After a baby is born, the umbilical cord is tied and cut, leaving a blue-white stump. A few hours later, the stump turns brownish-white. Afterward, it gradually dries up, thins out, and becomes black. Generally, the umbilical stump falls off within 3 to 7 days after birth.
