Reasons for Decreased Appetite and Reduced Intake in Infants

A 20-day-old baby, who used to consume 180ml of milk per meal, has recently experienced a significant decrease in appetite, even reducing the night milk to 90ml. This may be due to the physiological weaning period. This stage typically lasts for about a month, during which the baby’s intake may fluctuate. Parents can help promote the baby’s digestion and absorption by massaging the baby’s abdomen and engaging in appropriate activities to boost appetite.
