Epilepsy patients should avoid overeating, excessive hunger, drinking alcohol, smoking, and overindulgence in spicy and irritating foods. They should also consume more whole grains, vegetables, fruits, fish, shrimp, eggs, milk, and foods rich in Vitamin B6, Vitamin K, calcium, and magnesium. Limit the intake of fatty and greasy foods and potassium.
Epilepsy patients should avoid sugary foods and irritative foods, and try to minimize the consumption of foods that may trigger seizures, such as mutton and dog meat. Additionally, they should avoid ’triggering foods’ like roosters, wild ducks, and carp. It is recommended that epilepsy patients maintain a light diet, consume more vegetables and fruits to help control the condition.
