When a child has tonsillitis, they may experience symptoms such as high fever, general weakness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. During an examination of the throat, it may be found that there is pus on the tonsils. The child may complain of a sore throat, pain when swallowing food or water. The redness and swelling of the tonsils may cause difficulty breathing, even posing a threat to life safety.
