Question

Will a baby get a fever from calcium deficiency?

Answer

Generally, calcium deficiency in children does not cause fever. For a child of 27 months like yours, calcium deficiency might manifest as moodiness, irritability, disobedience, and frequent crying; restless sleep, such as difficulty falling asleep, night terrors, early waking, and crying upon waking; excessive sweating, unrelated to the weather, even when it’s not hot, wearing light clothing, and sweating unnecessarily; due to irritability and sweat stimulation, the baby may prefer to shake their head and rub the pillow while lying down. Over time, the hair at the back of the head may be worn away, resulting in a bald patch on the pillow.
