Question
Will infants always have a fever during emergency visits?
Answer
Not all situations during an infant’s emergency visit involve fever. Generally, if the body temperature does not exceed 38 degrees, physical cooling methods can be adopted, such as using alcohol to wipe the body, or wiping the face and forehead with warm water. If the body temperature exceeds 38 degrees, ibuprofen suspension or naproxen can be considered to help reduce the fever.
