Question
What is the normal body temperature range for a 2-year-old?
Answer
A child’s body temperature (measured under the armpit) is considered to be feverish if it exceeds 37℃. A temperature between 37℃ and 38℃ is considered low fever, between 38.1℃ and 39℃ is moderate fever, between 39.1℃ and 40.4℃ is high fever, and above 40.3℃ is hyperpyrexia. For newborns, since their brain temperature regulation center is not yet fully developed, their body temperature may sometimes exceed 37℃, but it is still considered normal if it remains below 37.5℃.
