Question

The baby’s jaundice has not subsided, and breastfeeding has been stopped for four days. How can I prevent the baby from disliking breastfeeding later?

Answer

There’s no need to worry too much. If it’s breastmilk jaundice, the rate of jaundice subsidence is naturally slower. You can give the baby jaundice-reducing medicine, increase fluid intake, and expose them to sunlight, and the jaundice will gradually subside. My baby still had a jaundice index of around 6 at 47 days old, and it gradually decreased thereafter.
