Question

Is it okay to inject interferon for a newborn’s fever?

Answer

It is not advisable to use interferon. Generally, if a newborn’s body temperature does not exceed 38 degrees Celsius, there is no need to take antipyretic medication. Physical methods of cooling can be adopted, such as using alcohol to wipe the body, or washing the face and forehead with warm water. If the body temperature exceeds 38 degrees Celsius, consider taking ibuprofen suspension or naproxen.
