Question
How long does neonatal jaundice last?
Answer
Blue light therapy can be considered if there is no significant improvement after a week, indicating it may be pathological. Use an ultraviolet light lamp, but make sure to wear an eye mask, for about 5 minutes at a time, and the yellowing can gradually diminish after a few days. Generally, three sessions of blue light therapy can help the jaundice disappear. During the blue light treatment, intravenous glucose injection is also recommended for better results.
