Question

How to self-check if your baby has tonsillitis?

Answer

Acute tonsillitis is usually caused by bacterial or viral infections when the body’s resistance is low, with a rapid progression and main symptoms including throat pain, accompanied by chills, fever, and headache. It is a common disease among children and adolescents. Chronic tonsillitis is the result of recurrent episodes of acute tonsillitis, characterized by dryness in the throat, a feeling of obstruction, thick and tenacious secretions that are difficult to cough up, and a persistent bad taste in the mouth. Recurrent episodes can lead to other diseases.
