Question

My husband has a chromosome abnormality. Is it still possible for us to have our own child? I have had two miscarriages, both ending in stillbirth. The first was discovered around 80 days into the pregnancy, but the gestational sac was only about 50 days in size. The second was detected at over 70 days of pregnancy, and the gestational sac was also only around 50 days in size. Each time I went to the hospital, I was told there was no treatment available and that we just had to wait it out. The doctor said we only have an 18% chance of successfully conceiving. Do you have any suggestions or solutions?

Answer

Hello, I suggest that you and your husband undergo a semen analysis at a local hospital and consider in vitro fertilization based on the results. This is one possible solution. Wishing you both health!
