The goal of treating kidney syndrome is to eliminate the cause and triggers, reduce swelling and lower blood pressure, decrease proteinuria until it disappears, increase plasma albumin levels and lower blood lipids, protect kidney function, and prevent recurrence. Immunosuppressants are commonly used in treatment.
