Children with ADHD exhibit behaviors that are purposeless and impulsive; typically, children who are ’troublesome’ or ’naughty’ have reasons and purposes behind their actions. Children with ADHD have poor self-control, are unable to sit still, and have difficulty focusing; in unfamiliar environments, children who are ’troublesome’ can restrain themselves. Children with ADHD often have difficulty concentrating and tend to be unfocused; when faced with something new and interesting that they like, children who are ’troublesome’ can focus on looking, listening, and doing, and they will dislike interruptions from others.
