Question
Examination and Laboratory Results:
- On November 16, 2012, a brain CT scan revealed hypoplasia of the white matter in both cerebral hemispheres. No abnormal signals were found in the brain substance, and there were no abnormalities in the brainstem and cerebellum. The ventricular system was not dilated, the sulcus was normal, and the midline structures were shifted.
- On November 13, 2012, a Doppler ultrasound showed that the right liver had a maximum oblique diameter of 7.5 cm, the left liver had a frontal and posterior diameter of 3.5 cm, and an upper and lower diameter of 4.2 cm. The liver surface was smooth with regular edges, and the liver presented with fine, slightly nodular echoes uniformly distributed. There were no obvious abnormalities in the size and internal echoes of the caudate lobe. The main portal vein had an inner diameter of 0.6 cm with a blood flow velocity of 16.3 cm/s. The superior mesenteric vein had an inner diameter of 0.4 cm with a flow rate of 15.2 cm/s. The branches of the hepatic vein had no wide inner diameters, and there were no obvious abnormal echoes in the lumen. The common bile duct had an inner diameter of 0.3 cm without any abnormal echoes, and there was no obvious dilation of the intrahepatic bile ducts. The pancreas was of normal size and shape with a smooth surface and uniform internal echoes; the main pancreatic duct had a narrow inner diameter. The spleen was 1.5 cm thick with no palpable mass under the left rib; internal echoes were uniform, and the splenic vein had an inner diameter of 0.4 cm with a flow rate of 15.0 cm/s.
- White blood cell count was 9.80×10^9/L, with a neutrophil percentage of 36.40%, lymphocyte percentage of 60.30%, monocyte percentage of 1.00%, eosinophil percentage
