Question
Are there any common symptoms before an epilepsy onset?
Answer
The difficulty of treatment for epilepsy caused by different reasons varies. For example, epilepsy caused by head trauma can usually be effectively controlled after reasonable treatment. After the condition stabilizes, continuing medication for a period of time can lead to complete discontinuation. Similarly, epilepsy caused by a stroke can also be controlled in most patients after the acute phase passes and effective anti-epileptic treatment is provided. However, epilepsy caused by a brain tumor cannot be cured unless the tumor is removed. For epilepsy caused by congenital brain maldevelopment, the treatment effect is usually poor.
