Question
My son is four years old, and he walks slowly with delayed reactions. What could be the cause?
Answer
Maternal factors: Such as preeclampsia, heart failure, severe bleeding, anemia, shock, coma, drug abuse, excessive alcohol consumption, and drug intoxication. Abnormalities during delivery: Such as difficult labor, breech presentation of the fetus, use of forceps or vacuum extraction, or administration of anesthesia. Or a prolonged labor process leading to pediatric cerebral palsy. Neonatal factors: Neonatal asphyxia, abnormal cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, such as congenital heart disease.
