Question

I went to the hospital to have earwax removed, and the doctor said there was nothing inside. I can clearly feel and touch it myself when I’m removing it, and my hearing has obvious decreased. Is it because the doctor thinks it’s risky and doesn’t want to remove it?

Answer

Hello, there’s no need to be too forceful when removing earwax. If the doctor says there’s nothing, then there’s nothing. Guidance: What you’re feeling might just be some of the ear’s structures, or perhaps it’s because you’ve been cleaning too much, causing the wax to harden. No big deal.
