Question
Why does my child keep having sudden nosebleeds?
Answer
The patient is a 9-year-old with the main symptoms being nosebleeds and itching, which started a few days ago. Laboratory tests did not show any abnormalities. Causes of nosebleeds include local causes such as trauma, nasal and sinus trauma, postoperative sequelae of nasal and sinus surgery, changes in atmospheric pressure, or picking the nose, as well as inflammation caused by mucosal ulceration, ulcers, or vascular rupture due to conditions like dry rhinitis, atrophic rhinitis, and tuberculosis. Additionally, systemic diseases such as hemophilia, leukemia, hemorrhagic purpura, and coagulation dysfunction can also lead to nosebleeds. For nosebleeds, it is necessary to identify the cause and treat them promptly.
