Question

What exactly is epilepsy and what symptoms does it have?

Answer

Epilepsy, commonly referred to as fits, is a common mental disorder. Its clinical manifestations include recurrent episodes of transient loss of consciousness, limb spasms, and seizures. Epilepsy can be classified into two types based on the cause: primary and secondary. Primary epilepsy has unknown factors or causes, with no obvious pathological or metabolic changes in the brain. Various changes within the physiological range of the internal and external environment can trigger its onset. Primary epilepsy often occurs around the age of 5 or during adolescence. Secondary epilepsy is caused by various diseases inside and outside the brain.
