Question
What Are the Effects of HBeAg Positive on Childbirth?
Answer
Generally speaking, the impact of HBeAg positive on childbirth is relatively weak, and there is little effect when the liver function is normal. Starting from the 28th week of pregnancy, hepatitis B immune globulin (200IU each time) should be administered once a month. When the child is born, they should receive the hepatitis B vaccine and be given a 10mcg dose. One month later, another dose of hepatitis B immune globulin and vaccine should be administered to the child. By the 6th month, only the third dose of the vaccine needs to be administered. This approach can prevent about 95% of transmission risks.
