Question
Does a baby at this age need to be supplemented with anything? Should we choose single supplements like calcium, iron, zinc, and cod liver oil, or is it better to opt for a multivitamin?
Answer
To ensure the baby’s health, it is recommended to consume vegetables juices, liver puree, and egg yolks to supplement nutrients through food. When introducing complementary foods, start with thin to thick textures, from small to larger portions, and gradually increase the variety of foods. To prevent rickets, it is beneficial for the baby to be exposed to sunlight appropriately every day, which helps in synthesizing vitamin D. Please note to take the baby out in mild sunlight to ensure their safety.
