Question
My baby was 42 days old when we went for a check-up, and the doctor pointed out that there was mild jaundice, with the skin appearing slightly yellow. The conjunctiva did not show jaundice, and the total bilirubin level was 68.4 micromoles per liter. The doctor prescribed six bottles of Yinzi Huang Oral Solution and diagnosed it as breastfeeding jaundice, without requiring a follow-up visit. Now, my baby is 6 months old, and the skin is still yellowish, darker than other babies. She is still being breastfed and has not shown any other discomfort symptoms. As a parent, I am somewhat worried. Should I arrange for another check-up?
