Question
The baby is 8 months old and has been exclusively breastfeeding, showing no interest in drinking milk powder or rice porridge. She has also recently started eating tofu. However, there are milk curds in her stool. Does this mean there is a problem with her digestive system? At this stage, what else can the baby eat? Will exclusively breastfeeding affect the baby’s development?
Answer
It’s normal for a baby to prefer breast milk over formula, as breast milk generally tastes better. You can try giving the baby a bottle, just like we did with our child. Later, when the mother went back to work, the child seemed to understand and started to drink formula willingly.
