Question
How can you determine if your baby is getting enough breast milk in a day?
Answer
If the mother’s milk supply is ample, the baby typically finishes feeding within 10 to 15 minutes. After eating, a well-fed baby will stop crying and calmly play or fall asleep. If the baby still cannot fall asleep after feeding, or wakes up crying shortly thereafter, or remains restless, or starts seeking food again within less than 3 hours, these may be signs that the milk supply is insufficient.
