Question
Will babies have allergic reactions after vaccination?
Answer
Most children do not have or only have mild reactions after vaccination. For example, the injection site may become red, swollen, hot, and painful, or there may be regional lymph node enlargement. There may also be symptoms such as fever, decreased appetite, nausea, and abdominal pain. These reactions usually do not require treatment; simply ensuring the child drinks plenty of water and gets adequate rest will suffice. Avoid bathing the child immediately after vaccination and treat symptoms as needed, such as physical cooling (cooling), taking antiallergic medication, etc. However, if there are severe reactions such as persistent fever, purulent infection at the injection site, or a lack of energy and appetite, immediate medical treatment should be sought.
