Question

My daughter had an autumn diarrhea a few days ago, and the doctor said her throat was a bit inflamed at the time. Now she’s no longer having diarrhea, but this afternoon she started to have a hoarse voice, and she coughed and vomited twice last night. She also vomited when she coughed before. Does this mean her gastrointestinal function hasn’t fully recovered? How should I treat the cough?

Answer

It’s recommended to first visit an otorhinolaryngology department to check if the symptoms are caused by tonsillitis. If so, surgery to remove the tonsils can be considered.
