Question
My daughter is exactly three months old, and I’ve noticed some fine cracks on her cheeks, but her skin elsewhere is normal. I’ve already used children’s moisturizing products, but it seems to have no effect. I’ve heard that zinc deficiency in children can cause this kind of situation. Is this true? My daughter looks very healthy; do I need to take her to the hospital for a check-up?
Answer
Hello, it is recommended that you clean your child’s face with warm water twice a day and then apply an appropriate baby cream. Such symptoms are not related to a zinc deficiency.
