Question

What’s causing my baby’s stool to have bubbles?

Answer

Diarrhea is a common gastrointestinal disorder in infants, primarily due to their weak immune system and poor resistance to viruses and bacteria. When the intestines are infected, it can lead to diarrhea. Additionally, overfeeding or allergies may also trigger diarrhea. During an acute episode of dyspepsia in babies, it’s advisable to temporarily fast, but not for more than 8 hours. Stool with bubbles may be due to dyspepsia, possibly related to catching a cold. It’s important to keep the baby warm, avoid excessive consumption of cold foods, and administer some digestive aids. Also, if the baby is breastfed, the mother should avoid cold foods as well.
