Question
After my child’s adenoidectomy, I want to know what kind of food they should eat for better recovery?
Answer
After an adenoidectomy, it is advisable to avoid cold and cool foods and instead opt for neutral or warm foods, including pork, chicken, beef, pigeon, quail, eel, crayfish, green vegetables, cabbage, bok choy, soybean sprouts, potatoes, chives, carrots (twice a week). In summer, you can add green beans, snake beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, lotus root, celery, cauliflower, and various mushrooms (suitable for summer consumption). Fruits can include fresh seasonal fruits like strawberries, peaches, grapes, cherries. In autumn, apples, pears, and oranges are suitable options.
