Question

The patient has been suffering from chronic diarrhea and recently developed a fever after receiving intravenous therapy. What could be the cause?

Answer

The patient started experiencing diarrhea on the evening of April 6th, with watery stools. Initially, there was a fever, which was alleviated after taking cold medicine. However, starting the next day, the diarrhea persisted. This could be due to catching a cold and weakness of the spleen and stomach leading to diarrhea. Since there was no abdominal pain or vomiting, inflammation or infection is not currently believed to be the cause.
