It is generally believed that acupuncture is the fastest and most effective method for treating facial paralysis. Treatment should be initiated as early as possible, ideally within one week of onset. During treatment, it is advisable to avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, and consuming spicy foods, and to take precautions against colds and wind. When going out in winter, it’s best to wear a scarf. The general treatment duration is 10 to 20 days, but recovery can sometimes occur within a week.
