Question
My baby is 3 months old and has been crying for unknown reasons since 1 month old. Diagnosis revealed a calcium deficiency, and she has been taking homemade calcium tablets, cod liver oil, and vitamin drops since then. Should she continue taking these supplements? And for how long? Thank you for your response.
Answer
For infants, nutritional supplementation through foods rich in calcium and vitamins is generally more ideal than relying solely on medication. Since the baby is still young, it is not recommended to take large doses of medication. It is suggested to balance the diet daily to intake adequate nutrition. If dietary adjustments do not improve the symptoms, then consider medication treatment.
