Question
Why is my child urinating frequently?
Answer
When urine volume increases, so does the frequency of urination. In physiological situations, such as drinking a lot of water, eating watermelons, or drinking beer, due to increased fluid intake, the kidneys adjust and filter, resulting in an increase in urine volume and frequency, leading to frequent urination. In pathological conditions, such as in diabetes and diabetes insipidus patients, increased fluid intake and urine volume result in more frequent urination. However, under inflammatory responses, frequent urination, urgency, and pain may occur simultaneously, known as urinary tract irritation syndrome. Additionally, urinary tract stones and foreign objects may also cause frequent urination.
